BLOG de KORA projects: TUTORIAL: Álbum-caja "Mi gran día"/Album-box "My big day"

Hola, soy Silvia de Mi mundo scrap. Estamos en el mes de bautizos y comuniones y, aunque este año es complicado, os traigo un proyecto pensado especialmente para estas celebraciones ya que contiene un mini álbum junto con una caja en la que se pueden guardar los pequeños recuerdos de esos días tan especiales (la idea me surgió gracias a Elya Gafarova). Y qué mejor que la colección Holy Mint Day.

Hi, I'm Silvia from Mi mundo scrap. We are in the month of baptisms and communions and, although this year is complicated, I bring you a project designed especially for these celebrations since it contains a mini album along with a box in which you can keep the little memories of those special days ( the idea came to me thanks to Elya Gafarova). And what better than the Holy Mint Day collection.

Empezamos con la caja. Para ello, cortamos un cuadrado de cartón gris contracolado de 15x15 cm., dos rectángulos de 14,6x5,5 cm. y otros dos de 15x5,5 cm.

We start with the box. To do this, we cut a 15x15 cm. square of laminated gray cardboard, two rectangles of 14,6x5,5 cm. and two others of 15x5,5 cm.

Unimos todas las piezas para montar la caja.

We put all the pieces together to assemble the box.

Cortamos tiras de cartulina blanca de 3 cm. de ancho y plegamos a 1,5 cm. para cubrir todas las esquinas y bordes de la caja. Les hacemos un pequeño corte al bies en los extremos.

We cut 3 cm. strips of white cardboard. wide and fold to 1,5 cm. to cover all corners and edges of the box. We make a small bias cut at the ends.

Forramos el interior con el papel Mint sunrise y, para el exterior, cortamos trozos del papel Hapiness doors. Si se desea, se puede coser todo el borde de cada uno.

We lined the interior with Mint sunrise paper and, for the outside, we cut pieces of Hapiness doors paper. If desired, the entire edge of each can be sewn together.

Para la tapa, cortamos un rectángulo de cartón de 15x15 cm. y un rectángulo de 15x6 cm.

For the lid, we cut a cardboard rectangle of 15x15 cm. and a rectangle of 15x6 cm.

Forramos con cartulina blanca todos los cantos, excepto uno, de las dos piezas.

We cover with white cardboard all the edges, except one, of the two pieces.

Unimos las dos piezas con cartulina blanca dejando un pequeño espacio entre ellas de 2-3 mm.

We join the two pieces with white cardboard leaving a small space between them of 2-3 mm.

Cubrimos la tapa con el mismo papel que la caja, cosemos el borde y colocamos dos eyelets como en la foto.

We cover the lid with the same paper as the box, sew the edge and place two eyelets as in the photo.

Unimos la parte más estrecha a uno de los laterales de la caja.

We join the narrowest part to one of the sides of the box.

Ahora empezamos con el mini álbum. Para la portada, cortamos un rectángulo de 14,5x11 cm. y otro de 14,5x5 cm.

Now we start with the mini album. For the cover, we cut a rectangle measuring 14,5x11 cm. and another of 14,5x5 cm.

Colocamos ambas piezas juntas dejando un pequeño espacio entre ambas y las forramos con el papel Mint sunrise.

We put both pieces together leaving a small space between them and we lined them with the Mint sunrise paper.

Cubrimos el interior con el papel Grapevine.

We cover the inside with Grapevine paper.

Hacemos dos agujeros en la parte izquierda a la misma altura que los de la tapa de la caja.

We make two holes in the left part at the same height as those of the lid of the box.

Para decorar la portada, cortamos un trozo del papel Mint sunrise de 14x10,5 cm. y otro de 14x2,5 cm. Cosemos todo el borde.

To decorate the cover, we cut a 14x10,5 cm piece of the Mint sunrise paper and another of 14x2,5 cm. We sew the entire edge.

Pegamos los trozos de papel a la portada y añadimos dos eyelets.

We glue the pieces of paper to the cover and add two eyelets.

Para las hojas del álbum, cortamos cartulinas blancas de 17x14 cm. y marcamos a 3 cm. del borde izquierdo.

For the album sheets, we cut 17x14 cm. white cardstock. and we mark 3 cm. from the left edge.

Hacemos dos agujeros en el margen izquierdo a la misma altura que los de la portada.

We make two holes in the left margin at the same height as those of the cover.

Cortamos diferentes trozos de papel de 13,5x10,5 cm., cosemos todo el borde y los pegamos a ambas caras de las hojas interiores.

We cut different pieces of paper of 13,5x10,5 cm., we sew the entire edge and we glue them to both sides of the inner sheets.

Montamos el álbum uniendo la portada del álbum a las hojas interiores y a la tapa de la caja con una cuerda o una cinta. Y ya sólo queda decorar. Para ello he utilizado flores de encaje y papel, hojas de libro antiguo, recortables del papel Holy girl, una tarjeta, papel vellum, trozos de tela y de blonda, pequeños botones y hojas troqueladas con cartulina blanca.

We assemble the album by attaching the album cover to the inner sheets and to the cover of the box with a rope or a ribbon. And it only remains to decorate. For this I have used lace and paper flowers, old book sheets, cut-outs from the Holy girl paper, a card, vellum paper, pieces of cloth and lace, small buttons and sheets cut out of white cardboard.
