Hi, I'm Silvia from Mi mundo scrap, and today I bring you a tutorial for Kora projects of a recipe book made with eco-leather and with the beautiful Kitchen with love collection. Inside, a ring mechanism for Elena's free downloadable cards.
Para empezar, calculamos la medida de las tarjetas para adaptar el recetario a las mismas y al mecanismo de anillas. En mi caso, cortamos dos trozos de cartón ligero de 17x14,5 cm. y uno de 14,5x4 cm.
To begin, we calculate the size of the cards to adapt the recipe book to them and to the ring mechanism. In my case, we cut two pieces of light cardboard measuring 17x14,5 cm. and one of 14,5x4 cm.
Forramos el cartón con ecopiel marrón latte.
We cover the cardboard with latte brown faux leather.
Añadimos un trozo de tela en la parte central a la que habremos deshilachado los bordes.
We add a piece of fabric in the central part to which we will have frayed the edges.
Cosemos todo el borde de la portada y los dos extremos de la tela.
We sew the entire edge of the cover and the two ends of the fabric.
Para el interior cortamos 3 trozos del papel Buen apetito, troquelando los bordes del central.
For the interior we cut 3 pieces of the Buen apetito paper, punching the edges of the central one.
Los pegamos en el interior de la portada.
We glue them on the inside of the cover.
Hacemos dos agujeros en el interior de la contraportada para colocar el mecanismo de anillas. Si no se dispone de los remaches, se pueden utilizar eyelets.
We make two holes on the inside of the back cover to place the ring mechanism. If rivets are not available, eyelets can be used.
Colocamos el mecanismo de anillas.
We put the ring mechanism.
Y ya podemos decorar la portada. Yo he utilizado la shaker Delantal con papeles de la colección en el fondo y diamantes acrílicos azules y ámbar, flores, recortables del papel Ayudantes, hojas troqueladas y el chipboard Rama de árbol.
And we can already decorate the cover. I have used the Delantal shaker with papers from the collection in the background and blue and amber acrylic diamonds, flowers, cut-outs from the Ayudantes paper, die-cut sheets and the Rama de árbol chipboard.
En el lomo he incluido unos colgantes con un recortable del papel Ayudantes, una shaker del pack Botes con diamantes acrílicos azules y ámbar y pequeños recortables y un chipboard del set Utensilios de cocina.
On the spine I have included some pendants with a cut-out from Ayudantes paper, a shaker from the Botes pack with blue and amber acrylic diamonds and small cutouts and a chipboard from the Utensilios de cocina set.
Ahora procedemos a preparar los separadores interiores. Para ello, cortamos 4 rectángulos de cartulina kraft liner de 14,6x10,4 cm.
Now we proceed to prepare the interior spacers. To do this, we cut 4 rectangles of kraft liner cardboard measuring 14,6x10,4 cm.
Troquelamos unas pestañas y las colocamos en la parte superior.
We punch out some tabs and place them on top.
Después cortamos 8 papeles de la colección de 14,4x10,2 cm. Como quería incluir unos bolsillos en la parte trasera de cada separador, cortamos 4 rectángulos de 14,4x5,5 cm. y hacemos una pequeña incisión con una troqueladora de círculo en la parte central superior.
Then we cut 8 papers from the collection of 14,4x10,2 cm. Since I wanted to include pockets on the back of each divider, we cut 4 rectangles of 14,4x5,5 cm. and we make a small incision with a circle punch in the upper central part.
Unimos los bolsillos a las hojas y cosemos el borde de los 8 papeles.
We join the pockets to the sheets and sew the edge of the 8 papers.
Pegamos un trozo de papel en la parte delantera de la cartulina y otro trozo de papel con bolsillo en la parte trasera.
We stick a piece of paper on the front of the cardboard and another piece of paper with a pocket on the back.
Por último, los decoramos y hacemos los agujeros, al igual que en las tarjetas de las recetas. Así quedan en el recetario.
Finally, we decorate them and make the holes, just like in the recipe cards. So they are in the cookbook.
Y aquí os enseño los separadores con más detalle. Para decorarlos he utilizado recortables del papel Ayudantes, trozos de encaje, blondas de papel, pequeñas flores, hojas troqueladas con papeles de la propia colección y chipboards del set Frases de cocina. En los bolsillos se pueden guardar las tarjetas del papel Grandes platos.
And here I show you the separators in more detail. To decorate them I have used cut-outs from the paper Ayudantes, pieces of lace, paper doilies, small flowers, sheets cut with papers from our own collection and chipboards from the Frases de cocina set. Grandes platos paper cards can be stored in the pockets.
