Costurero / Sewing Box.

¡Hola! Soy Luz del blog MDA y vengo a reciclar, sí, vamos a reciclar una caja para convertirla en un costurero. Para la transformación he usado uno de los diseños de la colección "From the sky" baby girl (Lollipops) y los chipboard "Set de Costura", todo de Kora Projects.

Hi! I´m Luz from the MDA blog and this time I'm going to recycle, yes, we are going to recycle a box to make it in a sewing box. For the transformation I have used one of the designs of the "From the sky" collection, baby girl (Lollipops) and the chipboards "Sewing Set" , all by Kora Projects.

Como las medidas de tu caja y las mías no van a ser las mismas, te voy a dar unas indicaciones para que tu también puedas hacer tu pequeño costurero.

As the measurements of your box and mine are not going to be the same, I will give you some indications so that you can also make your little sewing box.

Primero vamos a forrar la tapa de la caja, para ello tienes que cortar un papel de medio centímetro (de ancho y largo) más pequeño de lo que mida la tapa (ejemplo: si tu caja mide 20 x 20 cm la medida del papel será 19,5 x 19,5 cm.). También cortaremos otros papeles, quitándoles ese medio centímetro, para los laterales y el interior de la caja. Ahora a decorar!!

First, we are going to cover the box lid. For that, you have to cut a piece of paper half a centimeter (width and length), smaller than the lid measures. (For example: If your box measures 20 x 20 cm, then the paper's size will be 19,5 x 19,5 cm).
We will also cut other papers, removing them half a centimeter, for the sides and the inside of the box.
Now, is time to decorate!!

Quería usar los bonitos chipboard de Kora Projects con detalles de costura pero dándoles un toque personal, por eso los he alterado con tintas distress (botones) acrílica metalizada (tijeras) o usando papel (maniquí). Ahora que ya están preparados vamos a ir distribuyéndolos por la superficie de la caja.

I wanted to use the beautiful chipboard form Kora Projects with sewing details but giving them a personal touck, so I have altered them with distress inks (buttons), metallic acrylic (scissors) or using paper (mannequin).
Now that they are ready, we are going to distribute them on the box suraface.

Para que estos y otros elementos decorativos destaquen sobre el fondo de papel decorado, he puesto unas blondas en color blanco, pegando cada chipboard con pegamento tipo Glossy Accents.

For these and other decorative elements stand out over the background made with decorated paper, I put some white laces, gluing each chipboard with Glossy Accents glue.

Ahora vamos con el interior, al que le vamos a hacer unos separadores con cartón forrado de papel decorado, cortándolos a la medida de las cosicas que vayamos a guardar dentro. Cada uno de esos separadores lo pegamos con silicona caliente al interior de la caja, la cual también habremos forrado de la misma manera que la tapa.

Now, we are going to create the inside of the box, to which we are going to make some separators with paperboard lined with decorated paper, cutting them to the measure of the things that we are going to keep inside.
Then, we will paste with silicone each of these separators inside the box, which will also have covered in the same way as the lid.

Colocamos cada uno de los objetos de costura y... ¡Ya está !
Como puedes ver no hace falta ser un gran experto en scrap para hacer un costurero, sólo tienes que elegir unos papeles y decoraciones bonitos como los de Kora Projects.
