Soy Myry de Fils et Papiers, y hoy os traigo un tutorial super sencillito: ¡un mini álbum con sorpresa! Si os gustan los pop-up seguro que os sonará. La idea es que al abrir nuestro mini salga un cubo, como si tuviera un muelle.

It's Myry from Fils et Papiers and today I wanna show you a super simple mini album tutorial with surprise inside. If you like pop-up constructions you will know this. The idea is that when you open the mini album a cube comes out as if that had a spring.
Éstos son los materiales que necesitaremos para hacer este mini con sorpresa: So these are the supplies that I'm going to be using:

También usaremos goma elástica, tinta negra "Versafine", "Black soot Dstress" y "Vintage Distress", el stencil ID-60 de AB Studio, algunos enamels, un abecedario, cintas de colores oscuros o neutros, pintura acrílica, purpurina, silicona negra y blanca; herramientas para cortar, plegar y pegar y, de manera opcional, cinta engomada kraft y máquina de coser.

Cortamos dos trozos de cinta de 30cm y 40cm. En la cara de la cartulina donde hiciste la marca pegamos o cosemos la más larga a la izquierda y la otra a la derecha.

Cortamos 8 trozos de la la colección "Cozy Winter" que midan 7x14cm. Sea cual sea la colección que vayamos a usar procuremos ordenar los papeles de manera que los colores y los motivos queden armoniosos.

Cut 8 pieces from the "Cozy Winter" paper collection that measure 2 3/4"x5 1/2". Whatever the collection you use, order the papers so that the colors and the motives look harmonious.

Ahora vamos a hacer el cubo. He visto unos cuanto tutoriales sobre cómo hacer para que el cubo salga "disparado" y el de Elena Morgun es el que más me ha gustado. Como el link a su plantilla no funciona os voy poner la plantilla que he hecho yo.
Vamos a dibujar la siguiente figura en un papel de scrap por la cara que quedará oculta. Las medidas de este cubo están echas para el tamaño del mini. Si quieréis hacerlo de otro tamaño sólo necesitáis en largo y ancho del mini una vez plegado.

Now let's make the cube. I've seen some tutorials about how to make the cube go "shoot out" and that of Elena Morgun is my favourite. So as the link for her template doesn't work, I share with you the template that I made.

Para pegar las pestañas os recomiendo una cola de secado rápido para poder montarlo de una vez.
To glue the tabs I recommend a quick-dry glue to be able to assemble it at once.
Una vez seco, cortamos el semicírculo y hacemos un corte hasta su centro acabado en un pequeño punto, triángulo... una figura pequeñita, en dirección hacia el exterior de la figura. Hacemos lo mismo del otro lado.
Once dry, cut the semicircle and make a cut to its center in the direction of the outside of the figure and finished in a small poin. Do the same thing on the other side.

Ahora vamos a hacer el sistema de "muelle" con la goma elástica. Si el largo de la goma es el mismo o más que el de la figura no hará el efecto muelle; si os sobra podéis hacer un nudo, pero procurad que quede ligeramente más corto.

Now let's do the "spring" system with the rubber band. If the length of the rubber is the same or more than the figure then will not do the "spring" effect. You can make a knot, but try to make it slightly shorter.
Antes de pegar las últimas pestañas comprobad que la goma hace su efecto.

Para terminar vamos a hacer una caja para guardar nuestro mini. Usaremos una cartulina de 300gr para la siguiente figura:

Podemos reforzar los puntos más débiles con cinta engomada. Cortamos dos trozos de cinta de 30cm y los pegamos o cosemos en el centro (8cm). También cortamos varios trozos de papel de scrap para cubrir la superficie exterior de la caja.

You can reinforce the weakest points with sticker kraft tape. Cut two ribbons of 30cm, glue or sew them in the center (3 3/16"). Now cut some scrap paper pieces to cover the outside of the box.
Por último, colocamos el cubo dentro del mini. Lo metemos en la caja y atamos las cintas entrelazándolas entre sí.
Podemos usar restos de papel, stencil, pintura y purpurina... para decorar la portada. Con la silicona negra y blanca hacemos formas desiguales para decorar el centro, cubrimos la parte "descubierta" del chipboard de la bombilla y usamos el resto de elementos decorativos.
You can use scrap papers, stencil, paint and glitter... to decorate the cover. Make some shapes to decorate the center with the black and white silicone. Cover the "empty part" of the bulb and use the rest of the decorative elements.
Finally, put the cube between the pages of the mini. Then put it in the box and tie the ribbons by interlacing them together.
