Hello, I'm Silvia from Mi mundo scrap and today I bring you, for Kora projects, a tutorial to make a very special project for a newborn with the new “Sweetie baby” collection.
Consiste en una caja de los tesoros de mamá con cajitas para guardar pequeños objetos como el primer chupete, la pinza umbilical, la prueba de embarazo..., un mini álbum para las fotos del primer año y un portadocumentos para guardar la cartilla de salud y documentos del bebé.
It consists of a box of mom's treasures with little boxes to store small objects such as the first pacifier, the umbilical clamp, the pregnancy test..., a mini album for the photos of the first year and a document holder to keep the health card and baby documents.
Lo primero que hago es la caja.
The first thing I do is the box.
Para hacerla, la Caja de recuerdos de Kora projects es perfecta ya que contiene los compartimentos ideales para guardar todos los elementos.
To do it, the Kora projects Memory Box is perfect as it contains the ideal compartments to store all the elements.
Para decaparla aplico por todo el contorno de la misma pintura Chalk Paint marrón oscuro y froto con una vela por algunas zonas.
To strip it I apply all around the contour of the same dark brown Chalk Paint and I rub it with a candle in some areas.
Después aplico varias capas de pintura blanca y, una vez seca, rasgo con papel de lija las zonas donde he aplicado la vela para que se aprecie la capa inferior más oscura.
Then I apply several layers of white paint and, once dry, I sandpaper the areas where I applied the candle so that the darker lower layer is appreciated.
Para forrar la caja, recorto los papeles "Teddy bear" para el interior y "Little angel" para el exterior, cosiendo los márgenes de este último.
To line the box, I cut the "Teddy bear" papers inside and "Little angel" outside, sewing the margins of the latter.
Para la parte superior de la tapa corto un trozo de cartón de la misma medida, coloco guata y, tras forrarlo de tela, coso todo el margen.
For the top of the short cover a piece of cardboard of the same size, I put a wadding and, after covering it with fabric, I sew the entire margin.
Y ya sólo queda decorar. Para ello utilizo una tarjeta del papel "Baby's world" que he enmarcado con el Marco blonda redondo.
And it only remains to decorate. To do this I use a card from the "Baby's world" paper that I have framed with the Marco blonda redondo.

A continuación preparo el portadocumentos.
Next I prepare the document holder.
Corto dos trozos de cartón de 20x13,5 cm. y un trozo de cartulina blanca de 20x5 cm. Dejando un margen de 2,5 cm. a ambos lados de la cartulina, con la plegadora marco varias líneas a lo largo. Pego la cartulina al cartón y añado guata. Forro con tela y, para embellecer la columna, pego un trozo de tela doblando un poco la parte superior e inferior.
I cut two pieces of cardboard of 20x13,5 cm. and a piece of white cardboard 20x5 cm. Leaving a margin of 2,5 cm. on both sides of the cardboard, with the folder frame several lines along. I glue the cardboard to the cardboard and add wadding. Lining with fabric and, to beautify the column, I glue a piece of cloth by slightly folding the top and bottom.
Coso todo el margen y, para cerrar la carpeta, coloco una goma elástica. Hago dos agujeros con la Crop-A-Dile, inserto la goma a través de ellos y luego la sujeto con eyelets.

Para el interior, corto dos trozos del papel "Hello everybody" y dos trozos de acetato, uno a lo alto de una de las hojas y otro en la parte inferior de la otra hoja, para hacer un bolsillo, al que corto un semicírculo en el centro. Después coso el acetato a las hojas y pego estas a la portada. Por último, decoro el exterior con una blonda, una tarjeta del papel "Baby's world" y unos recortes del papel "Teddy bear".
For the interior, I cut two pieces of the "Hello everybody" paper and two pieces of acetate, one at the top of one of the sheets and another at the bottom of the other sheet, to make a pocket, to which I cut a semicircle in center. Then I sew the acetate to the leaves and paste these to the cover. Finally, I decorate the exterior with a lace, a card of the "Baby's world" paper and some cutouts of the paper "Teddy bear".
Lo siguiente que hago son las cajitas para guardar los "tesoros". Para decorarlas utilizo chipboards del Set Mi bebé.
The next thing I do is the boxes to store the "treasures." To decorate them I use chipboards from the Set Mi bebé.
Hago 1 caja de 5x14 cm. y 4 cajitas pequeñas de 6,5x6,5, todas con una altura de 5 cm. Os adjunto el patrón que he utilizado.
I make 1 box of 5x14 cm. and 4 small boxes of 6,5x6,5, all with a height of 5 cm. I attached the pattern that I used.
Para hacerlas, utilizado cartulina blanca. Una vez recortadas y marcadas las dobleces, deben quedar así.

Para que se puedan abrir fácilmente, elaboro unas pequeñas pestañas. Para ello, hago una pequeña incisión en el centro, paso una pequeña cinta y cubro la parte interior con un semicírculo de papel.
So that they can be opened easily, I make small tabs. To do this, I make a small incision in the center, pass a small ribbon and cover the inside with a semicircle of paper.
Ahora confecciono la parte superior de la cajitas. Corto cuatro cuadrados de cartón de 6x6 cm. y un rectángulo de 13,5x4,5 cm. Cubro una cara con guata, la forro con tela y coso todo el margen.

Cubro el fondo de las cajitas con un trozo de papel (6,4x6,4 para las pequeñas y 13,9x4,9 para la grande), las monto, pego el cartón con tela en la tapa y ya las puedo decorar.
I cover the bottom of the boxes with a piece of paper (6,4x6,4 for the small ones and 13,9x4,9 for the large one), the amount, I paste the cardboard with cloth on the lid and I can decorate them.
Y, por último, preparo un mini álbum para colocar una foto por mes durante el primer año. Para la decoración y, a conjunto con el resto de elementos, añado recortes del papel "Teddy bear", el chipboard Mi primer año y flores de encaje y papel.
And finally, I prepare a mini album to place a photo per month during the first year. For the decoration and, together with the rest of the elements, I add cutouts of the paper "Teddy bear", the chipboard Mi primer año and flowers of lace and paper.
Para que quepa perfectamente en el compartimento, mide 19x12 cm. Corto dos rectángulos de cartón de esa medida y, en un rectángulo de cartulina blanca de 19x8 cm., marco con la plegadora líneas verticales, dejando un margen a ambos lados de 2 cm. Uno la columna a ambos cartones.

Cubro la portada con guata y la forro con tela.

Empiezo a preparar las hojas del mini. Corto rectángulos de 24,5x18,5 cm. y marco con la plegadora una línea vertical a los 12 y a los 12,5 cm. Las doblo por las dos líneas.

Pego el lado de una hoja con el lado contrario de otra hoja.

Para fortalecer la columna del álbum, pego un trozo de gasa de encuadernar.

Para embellecer la columna, corto un trozo de la misma tela que la de la portada de 2x5 cm. Lo doblo por la mitad y lo pego en el borde de la misma.
To beautify the column, cut a piece of the same fabric as the 2x5 cm cover. I fold it in half and paste it on the edge of it.
Para las hojas del mini, corto rectángulos de 18,3x11,8 cm. de diferentes papeles de la colección. Y, para ir colocando las fotos, en rectángulos de cartulina blanca de 10,6x9,1 cm. troquelo las esquinas con una troqueladora específica para ello.
For mini sheets, short rectangles of 18,3x11,8 cm. of different collection papers. And, to place the photos, in rectangles of white cardboard of 10,6x9,1 cm. Die the corners with a specific die cutter for this.
Por último, decoro las hojas con los números del papel "Baby's world", recortes del papel "Teddy bear", encaje y flores.
