Tutoria MIDORI con ECOpiel.

Soy María José de Scrap Planeta y esta vez os traigo un tutorial muy sencillito para utilizar la ECOpiel de Kora Proyects confeccionando un MIDORI. Me apetecía un montón hacer un Midori y pensé que era un proyecto perfecto para documentar lo que está siendo el viaje más largo de mi vida. Quiero llenarlo de recortes de noticias, de fotos de nuestro día a día en familia, de pensamientos y emociones, de notas de mi hija…y tendré mis recuerdos de este momento histórico ¿os animáis a hacer uno?


Hi guys! I am María José from Scrap Planeta and this time I bring you a very simple tutorial to use the Kora Proyects ECOskin making a MIDORI. I really wanted to do a Midori and I thought it was a perfect project to document what is being the longest journey of my life. I want to fill it with clippings of news, photos of our day to day family, thoughts and emotions, notes from my daughter ... and I will have my memories of this historic moment. Do you dare to make one?

Bueno, como sabéis hay muchos tutoriales sobre midoris, pero no he visto ninguno con ECOpiel, así que quise probar a ver qué tal funcionaba. La verdad que me ha sorprendido porque, aunque la ECOpiel es muy finita (creo que tiene un grosor de 0,65) es perfecta para este tipo de proyecto que debe quedar como blandito y manejable. Os enseño cómo lo hice yo:

Well, as you know there are many tutorials on midoris, but I have not seen any with ECOpiel, so I wanted to try to see how it worked. The truth that has surprised me because, although the ECOskin is very finite (I think it has a thickness of 0.65) it is perfect for this type of project that should be soft and manageable. I show you how I did it:

Materiales:
- 48 folios A4
- grapadora o hilo y aguja
- 2 cartones de 1 mm de 15 x 21.5 cm y 1 cartón de 3.5 x 7.5 cm
- 2 secciones de ECOpiel de Kora Proyects de 34.5 x 21.5 cm y de 21.5 x 14 cm
- 1 par de papeles de Scrap
- crop a dile con eyelets o un punzón.
- elástico redondo, aproximadamente un metro y medio.
- sellos, tinta Stazon, brads, chams, etc.


Materials:
- 48 A4 pages
- stapler or thread and needle
- 2 cardboard boxes of 1 mm of 15 x 21.5 cm and 1 cardboard of 3.5 x 7.5 cm
- 2 sections of ECOskin from Kora Proyects of 34.5 x 21.5 cm and 21.5 x 14 cm
- 1 pair of Scrap papers
- crop to tell with eyelets or an awl.
- round elastic, about one and a half meters.
- stamps, Stazon ink, brads, chams, etc.

En primer lugar, cogemos 4 grupos de 12 folios A4 y los doblamos, así de 12 en 12, por la mitad. Podemos unirlos en el centro con un par de grapas o cosiendo, de tal forma que nos queden 4 cuadernillos.

First of all, we take 4 groups of 12 A4 pages and fold them, like this in 12 into 12, in half. We can join them in the center with a pair of staples or sewing, so that we have 4 booklets left.

Como con el doblado en grupos de 12 folios a la vez queda irregular en los extremos, cortamos para que nos quede en línea.

As with the folding in groups of 12 pages at the same time it is irregular at the ends, we cut so that it stays in line.

Para darle más cuerpo a las tapas vamos a utilizar cartón de 1 mm o tipo caja cereales, tomando 2 unidades de 15 x 21.5 cm. También necesitaremos un trozo de ECOpiel de 34.5 x 21.5 cm, ya que necesitaremos 4.5 cm para el lomo.

Pegamos las tapas de cartón a ras de la ECOpiel, dejando en el centro un espacio de 4.5 cm (que será nuestro lomo).

We glue the cardboard covers flush with the ECOpiel, leaving a 4.5 cm space in the center (which will be our spine).

Reforzamos el lomo por el interior con otro trozo de ECOpiel, de 21.5 x 14 cm, para darle más cuerpo.

We reinforce the spine on the inside with another piece of ECOpiel, 21.5 x 14 cm, to give it more body.

Hacemos 4 agujeritos en el lomo arriba, a 1 cm desde el borde y desde la tapa y a 1 cm entre ellos, e igualmente abajo a 1 cm desde la tapa, a 1 cm del borde y a 1 cm entre ellos. También haremos 1 agujero en el centro del lomo. Todos ellos los podemos rematar con la Crop a Dile y poner eyelets decorativos pero comprobé que no es necesario, ya que la ecopiel no se rompe si no hay excesiva presión en la goma elástica.

We make 4 holes in the spine above, 1 cm from the edge and from the top and 1 cm between them, and also below 1 cm from the top, 1 cm from the edge and 1 cm between them. We will also make 1 hole in the center of the spine. All of them can be finished with the Crop a Dile and put decorative eyelets but I found that it is not necessary, since the ecoleather does not break if there is not excessive pressure on the elastic rubber.

Pasamos una goma elástica por los agujeritos, quedando las partes largas en el interior.

We pass an elastic band through the holes, leaving the long parts inside.

En el agujero del centro pasaremos una goma independiente de las demás que anudamos por dentro, y que servirá de cierre, pero no cortamos el sobrante aún ya que esperaremos a ver el grosor que tenemos de Midori para ajustar el cierre.

In the hole in the center we will pass a rubber independent of the others that we knot inside, and that will serve as a closure, but we do not cut the excess as we will wait to see the thickness we have of Midori to adjust the closure.

También podemos decorar utilizando brads de colores. Sellos de bordes de Kora Projects.

Pintamos todos los bordes con una acrílica similar al color de nuestra ECopiel, o en su defecto podemos distresar. Yo utilicé la acrílica de Stampería “Turchese Indiano” que es exactamente el mismo color de la ECOpiel azul.

We paint all the edges with an acrylic similar to the color of our E-leather, or failing that we can distract. I used Stampería “Turchese Indiano” acrylic, which is exactly the same color as blue ECOskin.

No hay que olvidarse de colorear un centímetro por dentro del Midori.

Do not forget to color an inch inside the Midori.

Para el cierre, podemos dejar el elástico tal cual o hacer un remate con la propia ECOpiel. Yo utilicé 2 trocitos de 3.5 x 7.5 de piel y un cartón de 1 mm de la misma medida que pegué entre la piel. Luego pinté los bordes con la acrílica. Lleva 4 agujeros tal como se ve en la fotografía. Pero esto es opcional y un poco decoración así que podéis hacerlo como más os guste.

For the closure, we can leave the elastic as it is or make a finish with the ECOpiel itself. I used 2 pieces of 3.5 x 7.5 of skin and a 1 mm cardboard of the same size that I stuck between the skin. Then I painted the edges with acrylic. It has 4 holes as seen in the photograph. But this is optional and a little decoration so you can do it as you like.

El interior podéis decorarlo con papeles de Scrap. Yo utilicé la colección Magic Day y unos sellitos. Por último, podéis añadirle chams, pompones, cadenitas, o lo que tengáis por casa, que simplemente va enganchado al elástico, por dentro o por fuera, como más os guste.

You can decorate the interior with Scrap papers. I used the Magic Day collection and some stamps.
Finally, you can add chams, pom poms, chains, or whatever you have at home, which is simply attached to the elastic, inside or outside, as you like
