TUTORIAL. Cartonaje: Buzón de correo con un álbum / Cardboard: Mailbox with an album

Feliz dìa!, Hoy es mi primer post y me siento feliz de compartir en este espacio, mi nombre es Lizet Luna y puedes encontrarme AQUI, son una chica mexicana que se ha integrado en esta temporada al equipo de diseño, desde que conocí Kora Proyects simplemente me enamore de sus maravillosos productos y me siento feliz de estar hoy aquí para compartir mi primer proyecto. Para la ocasión me toca trabajar con una colección hermosa llamada "Chistmas Tale", hermosos papeles con estilo nórdico, una colección que te llevará a crear algo maravilloso, ha sido una experiencia maravillosa crear con estos diseños tan bellos!   

 Acompáñame  a crear este proyecto que consta de dos piezas el buzón  que es cartonaje y también un álbum fácil y rápido que podrás guardar en su interior, Espero que te guste.  

Happy day! Today is my first post and I am happy to share in this space, my name is Lizet Luna, they are a Mexican girl who has joined the design team this season, since I met Kora Project, I simply fell in love with your wonderful products and I am happy to be here today to share my first project. For the occasion I have to work with a beautiful collection called "Chistmas Tale", beautiful papers with a Nordic style, a collection that will lead you to create something wonderful, it has been a wonderful experience creating with these beautiful designs!

Join me to create this project that consists of two pieces: the mailbox that is cartonaje technique and also an easy and fast album that you can keep inside mail box, I hope you like it.

  

 

Comencemos....  

1.-Vamos a cortar en cartón gris todas las piezas que se usaràn para el buzon y la tapa, puedes imprimirlas en cartulina blanca de 180 gramos y despues utilizar esas piezas para el forro interior de tu buzón, tienes que tener estas piezas para iniciar:

Let's get started ...

1.-We are going to cut in gray cardboard all the pieces that will be used for the mailbox and the lid, you can print them on 180 gram white cardboard and then use those pieces for the inner lining of your mailbox, you have to have these pieces to start :

2.-Corta 12 tiras de cartulina blanca de 1" x 12 " y marca a 1/2 " del lado de ", después marca el pliegue en todas las tiras:

2.-Cut 12 1 "x 12" white cardboard strips and mark 1/2 "from the side of", then mark the fold on all the strips: 

 

 

3.-Usaremos estas  tiras para unir las partes del buzón,  así que  pega en la orilla de las dos piezas que formarán la parte frontal y porterior del buzon, solamente pegaremos la tira de un lado.

3.-We will use these strips to join the parts of the mailbox, so glue on the edge of the two pieces that will form the front and back of the mailbox, we will only glue the strip on one side. 

 

  

4.- Ahora pegaremos los laterales al cuerpo del buzòn, ayudandote de las tiras blancas que habíamos colocado anteriormente, Este ensable es maravillosom pues todas las uniones quedan por dentro, y no deformaràs ninguna de las caras del buzón con bordes de papel:

4.- Now we will glue the sides to the body of the mailbox, helping you with the white strips that we had previously placed, This threaded piece is wonderful because all the joints are inside, and you will not deform any of the faces of the mailbox with paper edges:

-Tienes que ver algo similar a esto, puedes agrandar la imagen para ver a detalle, ahora lo que sigue es pegar la base:

5.- Coloca tiras al rededor de la base del buzòn, que te serviran de ayuda para realizar tu ensamble, despues coloca la base:

-Tienes que ver algo similar a esto:

6.- Es momento de forrar el buzón, he usado la hoja con diseños de madera y copos de nieve para forrar completamente, necestamos dos hojas de 12" x 12" y cortaremos lo siguuiente:

- 2 Piezas de 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" para forrar la parte frontal y posterior, en la parte de arriba haz unos cortes pequeños para que facililite  pegar el papel en la zona redondeada.

-2 Piezas de 4" x 8" para forrar los laterales

- La Base la puedes forrar con cartulina blanca:

6.- It is time to line the mailbox, I have used the sheet with wooden designs and snowflakes to completely cover it, we need two 12 "x 12" sheets and we will cut the following: 

- 2 Pieces of 7 1/2 "x 9 1/2" to line the front and back, at the top make some small cuts to make it easier to stick the paper in the rounded area. 

-2 pieces 4 "x 8" to line the sides 

 - The Base can be lined with white cardboard 

7.-Finalmente  forraremos el interior con las piezas de cartulina blanca que usaste como plantillas, quiza debas hacer un pequeño ajuste, para que entren con facilidad.

7.-Finally we will line the interior with the pieces of white cardboard that you used as templates, you may have to make a small adjustment, so that they enter easily.

8.- Es momento de hacer la tapa del buzón.

Necesitaras las siguientes piezas que tambien econtraràs dentro de las plantillas, es importante que analices la pieza que tengo sostenida en la mano pues esa pieza tiene unos pequeños cortes que apenas 
marcan el papel, pero que te seràn útiles para que puedas darle forma curva al cartón:

8.- It's time to make the mailbox cover. 

You will need the following pieces that you will also find within the templates, it is important that you analyze the piece that I have had in my hand because that piece has some small cuts that barely mark the paper, but that will be useful so that you can give the cardboard a curved shape:

9.-Es momento de armar la tapa, necesitas pequeñas tiras blancas para  hacer el ensamble. 

    * Lo primero que haràs es pegar una tirita en cada lado de las dos piezas curvadas, estas tiras serán muy útiles para que tu puedas pegar las piezas laterales y quede màs solido el ensamble.

9.-It is time to assemble the lid, you need small white strips to make the assembly. 

* The first thing you will do is stick a plaster on each side of the two curved pieces, these strips will be very useful so that you can stick the side pieces and the assembly is more solid.

    Una vez que hayas pegado los lados deberás ver algo similar a esto:

10.-Antes de pegar la tapa es importante forrar por los cuatro lados las piezas, te sugiero que primero pegues el papel decorado a las partes corvadas, y despues a los lados rectos:

 11.-La tapa también debe forrarse con el papel de tu elección, te recomiendo que la forres tratando de dar la forma curvada con tus manos, esto facilitara el trabajo al momento de unir todos los elementos. Es importante que sostengas hasta que haya pegado completamente, en la parte que no está forrada deberás cubrir con una cartulina blanca:

11.-The lid should also be lined with the paper of your choice, I recommend that you cover it trying to give the curved shape with your hands, this will facilitate the work when joining all the elements. It is important that you hold until it has completely glued, in the part that is not lined you must cover with a white cardboard:

Es momento de hacer la decoración para el buzón, yo he usado lo siguiente:

    *1 shaker circular de 10 cm

    * Diamantes Acrílicos

    * Ecopiel Azul  

    * Ramitas  

    * Die Cuts

It is time to make the decoration for the mailbox, I have used the following: 

* 1 10 cm circular shaker 

* Acrylic Diamonds 

 * Blue Leatherette 

* Twigs 

* Die Cuts

 

12.- Es momento de crear un bello album: Necesitaremos nuevamente cartón gris

    * 2 piezas de 4 3/4 x 7"

    * 1 Pieza de 1 1/4 x 7" 

12.- It's time to create a beautiful album: We will need gray cardboard again 

* 2 pieces of 4 3/4" x 7 " 

* 1 Piece of 1 1/4" x 7 "

13.- He utilizado Antelina para forrar las portadas del Album y una Tira de Ecopiel de 9" x 3" para el lomo, tambien hay una cartulina blanca que use para dar soporte a la eco piel que mide 7 " x 2 1/2"

* El forro de las portadas deberàs hacerlo de manera habitual  tratando de estirar por el canto de las portadas para que no  haya excedente de tela. (la parte interna que coincide con el lomo unicamente cortar al raz la tela

* El forro del lomo, primero debes pegar el lomo de carton sobre la cartulina blanca y luego pegarlo a la ecopiel, yo use un die cut de metal para cortar la ecopiel y dar ese borde.

13.- I have used Antelina to cover the covers of the Album and a 9 "x 3" Eco-leather Strip for the spine, there is also a white card that I use to support the eco-leather that measures 7 "x 2 1/2 " 

* The lining of the covers should be done in the usual way trying to stretch along the edge of the covers so that there is no excess fabric. (the internal part that coincides with the spine only cut the fabric at the root 

 * The lining of the spine, you must first glue the cardboard spine on the white cardboard and then glue it to the eco-leather, I used a metal die cut to cut the eco-leather and give that edge

* Si deseas decorar un poco màs tus portadas puedes coser  y añadir los detalles que sean parte de tu estilo para hacer decoración:

* If you want to decorate your covers a little more you can sew and add the details that are part of your style to make decoration:

 * Tambien he preparado otros elementos en cartòn gris que posteriormente he forado con papel de la  misma colección que me ayudaràn a dar dimensiones: 

 * He usado el hermoso corte de Feliz Navidad, que ha sido de las cosas màs hermosas de los elementos que use!

* I have also prepared other elements in gray cardboard that I have later lined with paper from the same collection that will help me to give dimensions. 

* I have used the beautiful Merry Christmas cut, which has been one of the most beautiful of the elements I used!

* He añadido un monton de elementos que para la decoraciòn de mis portadas!

* I have added a lot of elements to decorate my covers!

14.- La parte Interna la he forrado con una hoja de la misma colecciòn deberás cortar una pieza de 6 3/4" * 11 1/2" para el forro interior.

14.- I have lined the internal part with a sheet from the same collection. You must cut a piece of 6 3/4 * 11 1/2" for the interior lining

 15.- Para las paginas interiores necesitarás cartulina blanca de las siguientes medidas:

* 1 Pieza de 9 3/4" x 6 3/4" Marcar doblez a 4 1/4 y 5 1/2 de lado de 9 3/4

* 1 Pieza de 9 1/4" x 6 3/4" Marcar doblez a 4 1/4 y 5 de lado de 9 1/4

* 1 Pieza de 8 3/4" " x 6 3/4" Marcar doblez a 4 1/4 y 4 1/2 de lado de 8 3/4"

15.- For the inner pages you will need white cardboard of the following measurements: 

* 1 Piece of 9 3/4 "x 6 3/4" Mark 4 1/4 and 5 1/2 fold of 9 3/4 side 

* 1 Piece 9 1/4 "x 6 3/4" Mark 4 1/4 fold and 5 9 1/4 side 

* 1 8 3/4 "" x 6 3/4 "piece Mark 4 1/4 and 4 1/2 fold 8 3/4" side

 

Finalmente las he colocado encima del lomo usando un poco de pegamento y he asgurado con unos brads.

Finally I have placed them on the spine using a little glue and I have secured with some brads.

Solo falta decorar!!!! ... y para ello yo use en las contraportadas unos sobres y para las páginas papel de la misma colección de "Christmas Tales"

You just need to decorate !!!! ... and for this I used envelopes for the back covers and paper from the same collection of "Christmas Tales" for the pages.
