Marco de fotos con Shadow Box de ECOpiel/ Photo frame with Shadow Box by ECOpiel.

Hola, soy Silvia de Mi mundoscrap. Nunca había utilizado ecopiel y me daba mucho "respeto", pero cuando Koraprojects lanzó este producto, me dispuse a probarlo y... es alucinante!! Decidí hacer un marco de fotos combinado con una mini shadow box y, para elaborarlo, utilicé ecopielmate - Rosa Crepe. Y para que veáis lo versátil que es, he preparado un tutorial.

Hello, I'm Silvia from Mimundo scrap. I had never used eco-leather and it gave me a lot of "respect", but when Koraprojects launched this product, I set out to try it and ... it's amazing! I decided to make a photo frame combined with a mini shadow box and, to make it, I used matteeco-leather - Rosa Crepe. And for you to see how versatile it is, I have prepared a tutorial.

Para la mini shadow box he utilizado una cajita de madera con compartimentos de 8,5x13 cm., aproximadamente.

For the mini shadow box I used a wooden box with compartments of 8,5x13 cm., approximately.

Para empezar, he aplicado una capa de pintura Chalk Paint color vino por todos los cantos. Una vez seca, he extendido cera por algunas zonas.

For starters, I applied a layer of Chalk Paint wine color paint all over the edges.

Once dry, I have spread wax through some areas.

Después he aplicado varias capas de pintura Chalk Paint blanca.

Por último, una vez seca, con papel de lija he rasgado las zonas donde había aplicado la cera para hacer un efecto "decapado".

Then I applied several layers of white Chalk Paint.

Finally, once dry, with sandpaper I have torn the areas where I had applied the wax to make a "pickling" effect.

Ahora empezamos con el marco. En un cartón gris de la misma medida que la shadow box he dibujado una línea a 1,5 cm. de cada borde. Lo he cortado con el cúter.

Now we start with the frame. On a gray cardboard of the same size as the shadow box I have drawn a line at 1,5 cm. of each edge.

I cut it with the cutter.

He cortado un trozo de ecopiel con un margen de 0,5-0,8 cm. en cada lado y un rectángulo en el centro dejando el mismo margen. He hecho un corte de la esquina interior a la exterior, dejando 1 mm. He doblado el margen del perímetro exterior sobre el cartón.

I have cut a piece of eco-leather with a margin of 0,5-0,8 cm. on each side and a rectangle in the center leaving the same margin. I made a cut from the inside corner to the outside, leaving 1 mm. I have folded the margin of the outer perimeter on the cardboard.

Después he doblado el margen interno.

Then I doubled the inner margin.

Para embellecer el marco, he cosido el margen interior y exterior.

To beautify the frame, I have sewn the inner and outer margin.

Para poder cambiar la foto tantas veces como queramos, he añadido tres tiras de cartón de 1 cm. de ancho formando una U. 

In order to change the photo as many times as we want, I have added three strips of 1 cm cardboard. wide forming a U.

A continuación, hacemos la base del marco. He cortado dos cartones unos milímetros más grandes que la shadow box y el marco y otro cartón para el lomo, un poco más ancho que el lateral de la shadow box.

Next, we make the basis of the framework. I have cut two cards a few millimeters larger than the shadow box and the frame and another cardboard for the spine, a little wider than the side of the shadow box.

Lo he forrado con la ecopiel.

I have lined it with the eco-leather.

He cosido todo el margen.

I have sewn the entire margin.

He colocado un trozo de papel para usarlo de fondo del marco.  

I have placed a piece of paper to use in the background of the frame.

He añadido una cinta en ambos extremos del marco y he cubierto el lomo con un trozo de polipiel.

I added a ribbon on both ends of the frame and covered the spine with a piece of leatherette.

Para decorar la shadow box he cubierto el fondo con papeles, combinados entre sí...

To decorate the shadow box I covered the background with papers, combined with each other...

...y he añadido diferentes elementos decorativos.

...and I have added different decorative elements.

Para acabar, pegamos el shadow box y el marco a la base y colocamos la foto.

To finish, we paste the shadow box and the frame to the base and place the photo.

Para el exterior he añadido recortables de la hoja Sunday de la colección Hello Spring y Soul of flowers de Princess Garden.

For the exterior I have added cutouts of the Sunday sheet from the Hello Spring and Soul of flowers collection by Princess Garden.
